Amongst the many things I appreciate from our Board of Directors is the emphasis on staying connected to the generation of young adults we are supporting. Be it through talking with high school students on campus, meeting with families at job fairs, or interacting with young professionals, each interaction provides insight.
BPI’s board recently voted to start an Associate Board, a diverse group of under 35-year-old professionals who will help influence the priorities and direction of the nonprofit. With their input, BPI can adapt and evolve to better meet the needs of the community and remain relevant in an ever-changing world.
As the founders of BPI’s Associate Board begin their recruiting process, I want to highlight some of the benefits of joining. Our Associate Board provides the unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, broaden your professional network, and gain valuable experience in nonprofit governance. In addition, you can actively participate in the BPI's mission to support other young adults on their career journey. You will not only help the organization achieve its goals but also have a significant impact on the community you serve. Associate Board positions will involve committee work, strategic planning, community outreach, and fundraising allowing you to contribute your unique skills and knowledge.
We want to give you the chance to contribute your creative ideas, energy, and passion towards achieving meaningful change in the lives of under-resourced students. By collaborating with like-minded individuals and seasoned professionals, you can expand your understanding of effective philanthropy and make lasting contributions to BPI's mission. Whether it's organizing fundraisers, planning fun social events, volunteering with our partners, or increasing public awareness, your involvement can lead to significant outcomes and personal growth.
Ultimately, the time spent as an associate board member is an investment in yourself and your future. On behalf of BPI’s Board, I hope you will embrace the opportunity to make a meaningful difference and enjoy the rewards that come with being an integral part of a greater cause.
