David Bangs bring deep understanding of corpoate and partner relations to table.
Lafayette, CO. BPI announced today the appointment of David Bangs to the board of directors. This brings the number of board members to six.
Bangs brings deep experience in corporate relationships and partner programs. Bangs works the Senior Vice President of OEM and Cloud Sales at Western Digital and has over thirty years experience in technology, startups, and partner programs. Additionally, he currently serves as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Louisville, CO.
“David will bring great perspective,” said BPI President, Steve Bates. “As BPI scales our mission to support young adults interested in skilled trades, promoting business partnerships that embrace apprenticeships, internships, and skills-based training is critical."
Bangs will work closely with the Board's nonprofit and education partner committees to identify partnership and grant targets.
About BPI: BPI (the Bates Philanthropic Initiative), is a Colorado registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We firmly believe that everyone deserves access to world-class education, regardless of their background or socio-economic status. For many young people in Colorado, a four year university experience is not a good fit. Often, they lack the awareness of other skills-based pathways available to them. That's where we come in! We help address the barriers to career and technical education by destigmatizing skills-based careers, providing scholarships, and funding nonprofit partners that support students through the journey from high-school, through post-secondary training, to their first job. We are dedicated to helping Colorado students overcome their obstacles and achieve their personal and professional goals.
