BPI (the Bates Philanthropic Initiative), is a Colorado registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We firmly believe that everyone deserves access to world-class education, regardless of their background or socio-economic status. For many disadvantaged young people in Colorado, a four-year university experience is not a good fit. Often, they lack the awareness of other skills-based pathways available to them. That's where we come in! We help address the barriers to career and technical education by destigmatizing skills-based careers, providing scholarships, and funding nonprofit partners that provide critical wrap-around services that support students through the journey from high-school to their first job. We are dedicated to helping Colorado's under-resourced students overcome their obstacles and achieve their personal and professional goals.
